Mama Shelter Dubai has been awarded Project of the Year MEA (Hotel) at the Light Middle East Awards 2026, recognising the project’s distinctive approach to hospitality design and atmosphere.

The award celebrates a bold, layered interior where lighting plays a central role in shaping identity, mood, and user experience. From social spaces to more intimate zones, the lighting strategy was carefully calibrated to support the brand’s expressive character while remaining functional, comfortable, and adaptable throughout the day and night.

Developed through close collaboration between the client, architects, and design teams, the project demonstrates how considered lighting can elevate hospitality environments beyond aesthetics, reinforcing storytelling, rhythm, and spatial clarity.
