Located on the trunk of Palm Jumeirah, our lighting design for Hilton Dubai Palm Jumeirah artfully balances captivating macro and micro visual experiences. At ground level, the lighting focuses on entrance canopies, arcades, and podium elements, to create a welcoming atmosphere for visitors. From afar, our lighting design accentuates the hotel’s impressive height and traditional volumetric shapes.

Designing the lighting for a hotel can present various challenges, but two noteworthy ones stood out in this project. A primary challenge was keeping dome luminaires hidden while achieving beautiful illumination, which the team expertly accomplished through meticulous adjustments. Another significant challenge was concealing LED sources for the mashrabiya. By collaborating closely with architects, we integrated hidden LED strips that seamlessly enhanced the texture.

Our approach at UMAYA seamlessly blends traditional aesthetics with natural inspiration, ensuring the hotel is beautifully illuminated and environmentally friendly, while showcasing its stunning architectural features.
