Our Pass in [d]arc sessions Asia

Langkawi had the right kind of energy.

[d]arc sessions Asia gathered a community that treats lighting as a craft, defined by curiosity, intuition, and dialogue.

UMAYA joined the event to exchange ideas, connect with peers, and reflect on where our discipline is heading. Said took part in the panel AI and Lighting, where the conversation moved beyond technology toward what truly matters: preserving instinct and creative judgment as the tools evolve.

Alex and the team joined the sessions and networking moments, sharing perspectives on process, collaboration, and the evolving role of lighting design in architecture. What stood out most was the openness in every exchange — designers from across the region sharing projects, questions, and philosophies with honesty and passion.

Also part of the panel were Eugenia Cheng from Light Origin Studio and Regina Santos, MSLL, MIES from Lightfusion, moderated by Matt Waring.

Thank you to the [d]arc sessions team for the invitation and for continuing to create spaces where the lighting community can meet, reflect, and grow together.
