The Canary Club
Since it’s opening a couple of months ago, The Canary Club has already become one of the trendiest hangouts in Dubai.
The restaurant blends the iconic style and flavors of West Coast destinations like Malibu, Palm Springs, Cabo and Acapulco. Designed by Fighterbrands, the interiors are '70s revival with lots of rattan, wicker, macramé, shag carpets, sandstone and pops of canary yellow. It all comes together to create a cozy and chilled out place to dine and unwind.
Occupying two floors of a standalone building, part of the Banyan Tree Residences Hillside Dubai, this 150-seater restaurant features an open kitchen and poolside views, while upstairs the rooftop lounge shines thanks to glittering views of the skyscrapers.
Developing the lighting scheme for a space with such character was certainly a challenge. All technical lighting revolved around complementing the decorative lighting pieces, while providing depth and layering to the different spaces, and revealing the multiple details carefully designed throughout the main dining area and rooftop.
The result is a perfectly balanced yet exciting atmosphere, which combines both traditional and contemporary lighting approaches.
So, take advantage of the cool weather and head to their rooftop for one of those remarkable drinks, while you admire the view and the lighting !
