Mulberry Hills
LOCATION: DUBAI, UAE
USE: RESIDENTIAL
SCOPE: FAÇADE & LANDSCAPE LIGHTING DESIGN
The façade lighting concept focused on the specular reflection and smooth fade of light, which was produced by uplighting the different architectural elements that form the buildings’ skin. The result is a diffused effect with crispy shadows and a wide transient contrast. Furthermore, the top of each building acts as a focal point, where a combination of diffused and concealed cove lights was used to highlight these architectural elements and draw the attention upwards.
The warm color temperatures used throughout the landscape mark the different deck levels and define intimate spaces, making it inviting and enjoyable for residents and visitors. All lighting elements used in the outdoor areas are low level, indirect and concealed, to avoid disrupting the clear views of the city.
